Howard Leight has added a “pop” of color to their line of electronic hearing protection. The Impact Sport electronic earmuff provides outstanding protection from loud noises while allowing ambient noise to be heard clearly. The new sleek, low profile earcup design allows for full clearance of firearm stock. They even have an auxiliary jack to connect to mp3 player. These fold up to transport easily in your range bag. Now available in purple, pink, mossy oak camo, od green, and teal. I found these on walmart.com for a bargain $45.83! You can’t beat the quality or the price!
If you are looking for the ultimate organizational system for both on and off the range, look no further than Blue Force Gear. Their Jedburgh Pack is one of the most versatile bags available. The Jedburgh Pack is ready for any mission set – from discreet everyday carry to on duty to downrange. The pack is sized around the typical day / assault pack and uses the modular Dapper accessory pouch system to keep your gear organized and in place.
Dapper accessory pouches use hook and loop “Velcro” to secure them in place. Go from work to school to hiking to boating to the range to whatever – all with the same bag. Just quickly and easily remove the previous load out and place in new Dapper pouches for your new activity.
The pack is available in four solid colors – Black, Coyote Brown, OD Green, and Wolf Gray – and the more overt Multicam. MSRP is $140, and the Dapper Accessory Pouches are all priced differently, too, ranging from $10-$45.00. You can mix and match the pouch systems to customize your bag for your needs! Pricey? Maybe a little, but the quality is great, and the price is comparable to other high-quality range/day packs. Available to order at www.blueforcegear.com. While you are there, check out their Vickers tactical slings, too!
Holy Toledo, STI International has outdone themselves. I had the opportunity to shoot their new 2011 DVC 3-GUN at Media Day at the Range at SHOT Show 2016, and it was ahhhh-mazing! The DVC 3-GUN was designed specifically to meet the needs of today’s 3-gun enthusiast. Like the rest of the DVC line, the 3-GUN features a TiN coated barrel and super-slick 2.5lb trigger. The slide is built longer to accommodate the 5.4″ BBL, and significant weight has been removed with the lightening cuts. The grip is hand stippled by Extreme Shooters of Arizona and it feels as good as it looks. The 3-GUN model features the STI tactical aluminum magwell for fast, trouble-free reloads. This race-ready model retails for $2999.99, but why not spurge every once in a while? Come on, you’re worth it!
