Crafting is one of my favorite hobbies. During summer break, my daughter sometimes gets very bored and restless. Having a little helper for a small project is fun for both of us. Together we can make something easy to display in our house as well as help grow her abstract thinking. Here I would like to show you step by step how you can make a simple yet very cute twig vase for your dining table.
Step 1. Get some twigs! For this particular vase you’ll want to focus on the small ones.
Step 2. Lay out what you’ll use for the project including the twigs, a small plastic cup to use for your vase, some string, scissors or pliers, a hot glue gun, and finally the floral of your choosing.
Step 3. Glue the twigs side by side to the cup. The particular cup I used had a lip at the top that I had to cut off so the sticks would lay flat. Be sure the twigs extend above the top of the cup that you are using a couple inches to conceal the foundation. You will have to use two layers to completely cover the cup so that it doesn’t show through the cracks.
Step 4. Tie your string around the vase. This serves as both decoration and support. You may also need to cut the ends of your twigs so they are all relatively the same length. Insert your flowers and put on display!
Have fun and be creative!
